Parents Are Spending Thousands on This College Acceptance Trend | The InSight Out Show | Ep. 260

A college acceptance letter used to mean a hug, a new sweatshirt, and maybe a celebratory dinner. Now some families are transforming entire bedrooms with school colors, balloons, blankets, cakes, and decorations in elaborate celebrations known as college bed parties.

Milestones deserve to be celebrated, especially after years of hard work. But when a meaningful family moment becomes an expensive production designed to be shared online, are we celebrating the student or performing the celebration?

Scripture (ESV): Ecclesiastes 3:4 – “a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;”

When does a joyful celebration begin to feel like social pressure?

Can a simple celebration feel just as meaningful as an elaborate one?
